Ellis County Sheriff's Office has put out a BOLO (Be On Look Out) regarding an incident in Red Oak.
On the evening of June 17th around midnight, a deputy responded to an attempted theft call. Upon arrival, the complainant stated that she heard a diesel vehicle coming into her driveway and went to her front door where she observed a white full sized pickup with a slide out tow dolly, and it was hooked up to her Ford pickup parked under her carport. The truck had been pulled out from the carport and was halfway down the driveway.
The complainant began screaming at the driver to release her truck. She described the driver as a white male and that he told her he was repo man. He never produced any documentation related to a legal repo. She told him that the truck was paid for, and he dropped the truck and took off from the location. We just want everyone to be aware of this incident and to stay vigilant.
