Jimmie Lamb
Mayor

Mr. Lamb was appointed mayor on August 14, 2018 after the unexpected death of Bob Rader and has been on theΒ Oak Leaf City Council since May 7, 2016.

He is a lifetime resident of Ellis County, Texas, he and his wife participated in the 1983 Election to incorporate the City of Oak Leaf.

He graduated Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1964 and has continued his education at Navarro College, Cedar Valley College and Southwestern Assemblies of God.

Mr. Lamb began his working career in November of 1965 as a distribution clerk for the United States Postal Service and advanced to clerical and administrative positions while he was there until November of 1992. After that, Mr. Lamb and a business partner operated a small retail store called Manna Books & Gifts until September of 2003. In May of 2004, he became senior director of business services for Southwestern Assemblies of God University and served there until his retirement in December of 2015.

He and his wife have three children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and are active members of the Oaks Fellowship Church. He enjoys making writing pens from wood and acrylic, and he is an avid Texas Rangers fan.
